The AIT will be asked to perform a number of tasks which include but are not limited to: regular mowing of greens, tees, collars, and approaches with various types of walk mowers as well as triplex mowers, fairway mowing with 5-plex mowers, step-cut mowing, regular bunker maintenance including raking, face mowing and edging, and daily course setup including cup changing and tee marker placement.

The AIT will be asked to assist with irrigation system maintenance and repair, fertilizer and chemical applications in accordance with a fertilizer schedule and IPM plan. The AIT will also be heavily involved in performing necessary cultivation practices such as
topdressing, aerating, rolling, over seeding, and verti-cutting. Individuals in this position will be tasked with the collection of data on the golf course including but not limited to scouting and monitoring for pests and disease, as well as soil moisture readings.

In addition to performing daily maintenance work the AIT will be asked to assist in various projects throughout the course. These projects may include irrigation expansion, drainage installation, sodding, brush clearing, and cart path renovations.
